Terms & Conditions

You can order as a guest or create an account. An account lets you see past orders, save addresses and leave reviews. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

You must be able to enter into a contract under Indian law to place an order. If you are under 18, please order through a parent or guardian.

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted, and a contract formed, when we send the order confirmation email. We may decline an order — for example if a title is out of stock, a price was clearly listed in error, or payment cannot be verified — in which case anything you have paid is refunded in full.

Quantities may be limited per customer on some titles. Orders that appear to be for resale may be refused.

• Prices are in Indian rupees and include all taxes. Printed books are exempt from GST.
• Shipping and any cash on delivery fee are shown separately at checkout before you pay. The amount on the Place Order button is the full amount charged.
• Online payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Cash on delivery is available subject to the limits in our Shipping Policy.
• Prices can change at any time; the price you pay is the one shown when you place the order.
• Coupon codes are subject to the conditions shown when they are issued (minimum spend, expiry, usage limits, eligible categories). One coupon per order.

Delivery is by courier to the address you give at checkout, on the terms in our Shipping Policy. Please make sure the address and phone number are correct — we cannot redirect a parcel once it has been dispatched. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Damaged, wrong or defective books are replaced or refunded as set out in our Returns & Refunds policy. Because books are printed goods we do not accept returns for change of mind. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

We take care that titles, editions, authors, publishers, page counts and cover images are accurate, but publishers do change covers and revise editions. Where a listing and the delivered book differ in a way that matters to you, it is treated as a "wrong item" under our returns policy. Course and year labels are a guide to help you find books; always confirm the prescribed edition with your institution.

You may review a book you have bought from us. Reviews must be your own honest opinion, must not contain personal information about others, and must not be abusive or promotional. We may decline to publish or may remove a review that breaks these rules. By posting a review you give us permission to display it on the site.

The site's design, text and images are ours or used with permission. Book covers and descriptions belong to their publishers. You may not copy or reuse site content commercially without written permission.

We are responsible for the books we sell being as described and delivered as agreed. We are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please contact us first — almost every problem is sorted out by email within a day or two. Any dispute that cannot be resolved is subject to the courts at our registered place of business, without prejudice to your right to approach a consumer forum.

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version. The terms in force when you place an order are the ones that apply to it.
