Every order is packed at our warehouse and shipped by Delhivery, one of India's largest couriers. This page explains what we charge, how long delivery takes, and how to follow your parcel.
1.Where we deliver
We deliver across India to every PIN code that Delhivery services — the checkout checks your PIN code as you type and tells you immediately if it can be reached. A handful of remote PIN codes accept prepaid parcels only; if that applies to your address, the cash on delivery option will be unavailable at checkout.
We do not ship outside India at present.
2.Shipping charges
Shipping is quoted at checkout based on your PIN code and the weight of your order, and is shown before you pay. For most orders it is around ₹49. The exact amount appears on the checkout summary and on your order confirmation.

There are no hidden charges. The total you see on the Place Order button is the total you pay.
3.Dispatch and delivery times
- Dispatch: orders are packed and handed to the courier within 1–2 working days (Monday to Saturday). Orders placed on a Sunday or public holiday are dispatched on the next working day.
- Metro cities (Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad): usually 2–4 working days after dispatch.
- Rest of India: usually 4–7 working days after dispatch.
These are typical times, not guarantees — weather, strikes and festival-season volumes can add a day or two. If a book you ordered is temporarily out of stock we will email you within one working day with the expected date, and you can cancel for a full refund if you would rather not wait.
4.Tracking your order
As soon as your parcel is booked with the courier you receive an email with the Delhivery waybill (AWB) number. You can follow it at any time on our Track Order page using your order number, on the Delhivery website using the AWB, or under Orders in your account.
We also email you when your order is packed, when it is on its way, when it is out for delivery, and when it has been delivered.
5.Cash on delivery
Cash on delivery is available on orders up to ₹2,000 to PIN codes where Delhivery collects cash. A convenience fee is added to the order: it is the charge Delhivery makes for collecting cash at your PIN code, so it varies slightly by location and order value, and the exact figure is shown on the checkout summary before you pay. Please keep the total ready; most delivery agents also accept UPI at the door.
If a cash on delivery parcel is refused or cannot be delivered after the courier's attempts, it is returned to us. We may decline cash on delivery for future orders from the same address.
6.Missed deliveries, delays and damage
- The courier attempts delivery up to three times and will call the phone number on your order. Please keep it reachable.
- If tracking shows "delivered" but you have not received the parcel, tell us within 48 hours at support@medbooks.in and we will raise it with the courier straight away.
- If the parcel arrives damaged, please refuse it or photograph the packaging and contents before opening fully — see our Returns & Refunds policy.
- Delivery addresses cannot be changed once a parcel has been dispatched. Contact us before dispatch if you need to correct an address.
